House Hideout presents RETURN OF THE JADED

House Hideout presents RETURN OF THE JADED — Edmonton Return!

On MAY 16th, Return of the Jaded returns to Edmonton for a night of proper rave energy and vibey dancefloor grooves. Fresh off a wave of recent releases on Solomun’s Diynamic label, John Summit’s Experts Only, Repopulate Mars, and more, he’s pulling up with serious momentum for what’s shaping up to be another massive night at House Hideout 🔥

About RETURN OF THE JADED:

The Canadian producer, DJ, and badman known as Return of the Jaded offers electronic music synonymous with superior sound quality, history, nostalgia, and cheeky rave culture. By blurring the lines between tech house, indie house and melodic techno, he creates a truly unique dancefloor experience. He is fueled by the desire to offer fresh alternatives to electronic music trends and has made a lasting impression upon superstars, tastemakers, and underground aficionados alike. His originals have charted Number 1 on Beatport over 10 times, with signature appearances on labels such as Diynamic, Experts Only, Repopulate Mars and many more.

In 2023, ROTJ made a bold move by introducing his very own record label, Jaded Recordings. With an impressive catalog of productions that had already earned unwavering support from esteemed DJs, the launch of his imprint was a testament to his artistic vision and growing influence within the music industry. The return of this enigmatic artist is a constant reminder that true artistry lies not in the limelight, but in the power to move bodies and souls through sound and rhythm.

About House Hideout

House Hideout is a curated late-night house experience focused on immaculate vibes, heavy grooves, and proper sound fidelity. Expect a PLUR-first crowd, respectful vibes, and a dancefloor culture that’s actually about the music.

Béton Armé’s sound combines melodic, classic Oi with prime Chaos en France-style vocals and the odd dash of hardcore. Everything stripped down to the essentials – a wall of sound like huge slabs of reinforced concrete, which is what the band’s name means.

Battle for Jarred

Bandmates. Hard to find, harder to keep. Susan Issac, 0Stella and Loud In The Pines battle it out to win Jarraed's favour on 21st May @ 9910

Susan Isaac is a Manitoba-born folk singer/songwriter making music in Edmonton. A powerhouse vocalist and multi-instrumentaIist, Susan crafts enduring songs reflecting on themes of land, loss, home, belonging, and parenthood. While solidly situated in the folk genre characterized by her fingerstyle guitar and signature storytelling, Susan’s slow-cooked lyrics and melodies also display pop sensibilities and country leanings, with the occasional classic rock chorus thrown in for good measure!

0Stella is an Alt-Rock Irish Fusion force where gritty rock blends with Irish fiddle, bodhrán, and rebellious pop melodies; the point where sound, sustainability, and connection meet. Based in Edmonton, Alberta and inspired by PJ Harvey’s song, 'Oh, Stella,' the zero in her name celebrates the power of opposites coming together. With a deep connection to the natural world and 8,500 km of cycle touring under her belt, 0Stella’s about making an impact, not just noise.

Loud in the Pines is the Edmonton-based, indie-folk duo of musicians Kelin Flanagan (vocals, keys, banjo) and Spencer Taubner (vocals, guitar). Through seamless vocal harmonies and layered acoustic sounds, they explore themes of heartfelt connection set in the natural world. In June 2023, Loud in the Pines released their first EP, Bitter Bright, which was recorded and mixed in their home studio. In 2024, they received a major project grant from the Edmonton Arts Council for their first full-length record, Every Colour Left. The songs were recorded at Riverdale Recorders by Scott Franchuk and produced by Ben Plotnick (The Fretless, Oliver the Crow, Atwood Quartet). The album was nominated for a 2026 Canadian Folk Music Award (Producer of the Year, Ben Plotnick). The record features stories of love, connection, growth, and acceptance in soaring full-band arrangements, and was released on May 16, 2025.

To all those who love to move, we thought we’d give you another night of them glorious grooves!

Caught some Winter Blues? Well don’t sweat it, cause The Hip and Foxy party only known as Body Heat has returned once more to entreat your ears and groove your bodies down, to the sweet, sumptuous sounds of the 70’s.

If you aint in the know, 3 dynamite djs will be throwing down hot-hot grooves for 4 hours straight! Grooves like Funk, the language of James Brown; that sits on that one. Like Disco, the most glorious and sexy virus that infected the late 70’s and lingered into those 80’s before finally giving birth to House. House Music, the chosen genre of those who wish to feel a percussive beat breathe itself into their soul! Ya dig?

By all means this is no ordinary party, but rather, an homage- dig? So bring it like you crawled out of a time machine to show us how to really dress and boogie that body. Dress like you came from the time and allow the spirit of that funk inside of you!

AND REMEMBER, Don't fake that funk! Let the funk find you.
