Normals Welcome & Smiling Faces LIVE with Borys & The Paronomasiac

The words "electronic" and "live" are a rare pairing when it comes to dance floors in Edmonton. With a steadily-growing hunger for good house and techno locally, it's definitely unique to experience it live. This past Saturday marked Smiling Face's warm welcome home of Jason Borys, returning from his first solo tour through Europe and the U.S. to 9910. Borys performed live alongside Normals Welcome label mate Nik7 aka The Paronomasiac, with warm up and closing sets from Fraser and TAF of the Refuge crew.

The stage was brimming with more gear than 9910 has ever seen as The Paronomasiac delivered his first solo live performance in 5 years. Borys' setup of modular synthesizers was and always is incredible and his high energy set was equally impressive. Top notch evening of creativity, passion and downright badassery. Watch for the upcoming collaborative release on Normals Welcome from The Paronomasiac and Borys under the moniker "Muchias".

What's next for Smiling Faces at 9910? We're gearing up for Project Pablo, a Montreal-based DJ and Musician whose release "I Want To Believe" grabbed Dane's attention as one of his top tracks of 2015. Full event details here.
